Testimonials

Just wanted to say what a fantastic show Robert Leslie provided last night. It was highly professional and very entertaining, all my guests thoroughly enjoyed it. He really does sound uncannily like Neil Diamond - a perfect tribute. I would highly recommend him to anyone thinking about booking him and am pretty sure we will book him again some time in the not too distant future....

WOW!!
What can we say? On behalf of myself and all the Members of Priory Lodge No 5819, their wives and families - we cannot thank you enough - we have all had a fantastic evening! Neil Diamond received a standing ovation and an encore.

Absolutely fantastic. Many, many thanks - first class. Gaynor Powell 22nd February 2008

I would just like to say thank you so much for appearing at my birthday celebrations on the 17th February - you certainly made my evening.  As I am sure my husband and daughters have told you, I am a big Neil Diamond fan and your performance was absolutely brilliant.  The feedback from my guests was great and they all said how much they enjoyed seeing you. I look forward to seeing you at the Rising Sun next time you are there.

As Rob took to the stage to the music from JLS, in a black sparkly shirt that perfectly set off the 2002 tour look, he introduced himself and then asked if I was in the audience, explaining that we went back quite a way - but that was another story! LOL I gave him a wave and was pleased it was quite dark in there as I could feel myself turning an attractive shade of beetroot!

Rob treated us all to many of Neil's hits from Solitary Man to ballads like Play Me and LOTR. Pretty soon we were all up dancing to I'm a believer and Sweet Caroline was "so good, so good, so good" with everyone in party mode singing and dancing along. Ahhhh it was great to hear some live Neil music again. Rob has a powerful voice and really did the songs justice. Towards the end we enjoyed a rousing Soolaimon and Brother Love before he was persuaded to return for an encore - an unexpected Havah Nagila which was a complete riot as we all attempted to dance along arm in arm. There was one final treat in store as he finished with I Am I Said and we all remained on the dance floor to listen and then it really was all "Done Too Soon"

Thanks Rob for a really brilliant night out. Pip Blick - Neil Diamond Fan

I just finished a couple of your cd's with more to go and I just love them. You have Neil nailed in his late 70's early 80's raspy voice where he started "talking" rather than singing his words.  You did an excellent job and you have managed a relaxed 80's Neil better than most. Pelsall  Labour Club said " I've been a lifelong Neil Diamond fan, yet I have never been able to get to any of his concerts. I feel now, that I no longer need to. I've just watched and listened to the next best thing!"

The Bromford Club said “I’ve seen lots of tribute acts over the years and you are the closest I’ve ever seen to the original”

The Cheam Fields Club,  Surrey said "Everyone remarked on how close you sounded and looked to Neil Diamond. what a talent. Should you ever need any reference for future performances, please do not hesitate to contact us"

"Robert was absolutely great! I thought he was thoroughly professional, did an excellent job and I've had lots of positive comments about his act. I think the guests were really up for a good night but Robert made sure they had one. People were up and dancing and really getting into it. We even had a request for an encore track. The evening couldn't have gone any better " Niki Uden

On Saturday night, Neil Diamond AKA Forever In Blue Jeans performed a 90 minute set in our loft apartment. Robert positioned at one end of the room MADE my wife's 30th Birthday, which will never be forgotten by us or the thirty guests. Robert greeted all our guests in costume with his remarkable American accent, before the lights went up and the show began. With a fantastic opening number the whole place was rocking within a few minutes. If you ever plan to have an ND night make sure it’s with Forever In Blue Jeans as it was, simply put, "sensational". Many, many thanks, to both Robert and Alice for putting on a fantastic night. John & Kate Grimshaw, Bolton, Lancs.

“Portraying Diamond in mid career, this pleasing performance captured the essence of the uncut Diamond”

Peter Hepple, The Stage

The show, succeeds in capturing the very essence of Diamond’s own performances.

The sincerity, the style, the thrill & the magic.

All in all, an outstanding tribute to the remarkably talented singer/songwriter, Neil Diamond, performed by the exceptional vocal talent of Robert Leslie.

All of Neil Diamond's hits are in the show. From the gentle opening bars of "America" to the thundering climax to the show  "Brother Love's Traveling Salvation Show  / Soolaimon". A journey through Neil Diamonds early career with both music and anecdotes.

"Close your eyes and he is Neil Diamond" has been repeated over & over again by audiences wherever the show has been performed which has been demonstrated by the show being re-booked time and time again
